Q. So Gaby, tell me about this finish today.

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, it was an amazing week. Very happy how we played today. Very consistent. Super good emotionally.

So, yeah, I feel that we didn't start the week playing or hitting the golf ball as well, but mentally I was telling myself, hey, we can get up and down from everywhere.

Last minute today in the range with my coach we got a good feeling about my iron play, and it paid off.

Q. Can you describe the last birdies and especially the eagle on the last hole?

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I made really -- three really good putts on 11, 12, and 13. Stayed patient.

17 is a brutal hole with that pin location. It's so easy to get in trouble. Made a really good putt for par.

On 18 we had 178 to the pin. Hit a 6-iron to three, four feet and luckily we made the putt.

Q. We were talking about confidence and finishing like this. How much it helps?

GABY LOPEZ: It's brutal. I feel that my game is trending and I'm super happy that it's just been amazing. Honestly, just to gain confidence overall, it's awesome.

Q. And your preparation for the last major of the year?

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, last major of the year I'm going to rest for one week, not going to touch a club, and then get ready in Spain for the British Open. I've never played in Wales, so yeah, I'm excited to have another challenge at a major championship.
