Q. Third round 68 to stay in contention. How difficult were the conditions today and what do you expect tomorrow?

JAKE KNAPP: Yeah, played really difficult. Obviously this is a different wind than what we prepared for, even the first round is different wind.

So these last few days have been a little bit more challenging and figured it out on the fly. Yeah, it's gotten a lot firmer. It's tough on the back nine when you feel like you play every hole into the wind and those last three are kind of downwind, so you don't have a lot of information to go off of.

Yeah, tomorrow I'm sure it's going to be even firmer and more difficult. But just kind of what you want on a golf course like this.

Q. How do you look at going into tomorrow after the finish?

JAKE KNAPP: Yeah, unfortunately on 15, got a couple bad break, rolled into two funky lies. 16, misjudged the lie on the tee ball. It is what it is. I thought I hit a great shot into 18 and just landed firmer than we thought.

Overall, hit it pretty well today. Did everything all right. Just clean up a few things and we'll be in a good spot.

Q. You've been in contention a couple of times this year. How do you get over the hump?

JAKE KNAPP: Just play better. Hit better shots. Hit a few more putts. Obviously Detroit I was close and Canada I had a bad back nine on Sunday. Yeah, I've been close a lot this year and I feel like I've been just kind of knocking on the door and hopefully tomorrow we can kick it down.
