Quick Quotes

Q. Cass, 2-under par today. Two shots back now heading into the final round. What do you make the today's performance?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yeah, today I played really nicely on the front nine. I think it was really solid.

And then towards the back nine came up to the tougher holes, that stretch, 11, 12, 13, I just got myself in some unfortunate positions that were difficult to make par from.

Otherwise it was okay. Nothing great. Nothing terrible. So hopefully can have a good one tomorrow.

Q. Yeah, slightly different today because the crowds were so much bigger perhaps than the first two rounds. Any extra nerves for you?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: I didn't feel too nervous. When I hit it quite close on 16 I said to Charlie, I felt nervous over this putt. I'm not sure why, but I think it was just because all the people that were around there.

Yeah, not too many nerves coming in or towards the beginning. Think it was easier because the camera guys were around the whole time instead of them bombarding you if you do play well.

No, nerves were okay. Don't know about tomorrow. We'll see then.

Q. How is the whole major experience? See you down there signing autographs. Biggest event alongside the AIG you played in. How are you finding it?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yeah, it's always special. You know, this is what we work so hard for and we want the crowds, we like them and all the little girls coming out to watch. We hopefully motivate them and see them out here in a couple years. You always get those cool stories like Helen posted a picture of the Kordas from a couple years ago.

Things like that that you want to reflect on after your career and look and say, I've motivated someone to play. Yeah, loving it.

Q. Glance at the leaderboard and yourself there, Cara Gainer, Nastasia Nadaud, it's been really strong showing from the LET. What does that say about your Tour this week?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yeah, definitely. I think our Tour is definitely come into better golfers and you have to play better in order to make it and things like that. You know, before, couple years ago when we had a few events, I think the Tour was slowly going down. Then it's picked up a lot now. We have a lot of solid players. Like average golf on the LET is not good enough anymore.

I think that's why we also have a lot of LET players doing better in LPGA events.

Q. You said yesterday you thought it was going to be chaos this weekend.

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yes.

Q. Proving to be that way. Two shots back heading into tomorrow. How excited are you for the challenge?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yeah, very excited. I'm quite excited to see the leaderboard because you just got me two minutes after I handed my scorecard. I have to go look at the leaderboard.

But, yes, I mean, I can't control what everyone else does so I'm just going to go out tomorrow and play and see what happens.

Q. The situation where you are right now, being in contention first time, is there anything in the past that you can use as a reference?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Yeah, I guess so. You just got to play your own game and not think about everything else. I think the biggest problem with majors is people overthink it. It's just another golf course and another round of golf, and that's how I'm going to tackle it tomorrow.

Q. Any evening plans.

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Jesus, I have to get food here, so I'm going to go get food early. The waiting at the restaurants is a no-no for me. Maybe some Thai. I don't know. My husband is the boss of that. Whatever he feels like. See what he wants.

Ask him in his interview.

Q. For folks that don't know too much about you, any fun facts, fun stories, kind of how you came up through the game of golf or just about yourself now that you would like to share?

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: Shoot. I'm loud. I'm sure people have seen that. Shoot, that's a hard one. I don't know. Look at my Instagram.

That's my whole personality on there. I don't know.

Q. It's okay. Just thought I would give you the chance.

CASANDRA ALEXANDER: No. Give it a go on Instagram. That's a tricky one.
