Q. Okay, here with Lottie Woad. What a bounceback. Nice way to grind that out there. Tell me about that birdie putt on the last hole.

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it is like 60 foot. Hit what I thought was a good drive. It was like a foot in the rough. Got a bad lie. Had to lay up.

Laid up and it was in a divot, so then didn't hit the best wedge shot and then holed the putt.

It worked out.

Q. I saw you look kind of like oh, my gosh, I can't believe that went in. Was it a delight and something that will make lunch or dinner taste better?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it was probably going ten feet by so I was more just happy it went in.

Q. Take me through your round today. What was working? What was not working? What are you going to try to shore up before tomorrow?

LOTTIE WOAD: I didn't feel like I played that bad. This course can kind of get you sometimes. Had two 6s which didn't help. Hit a lot of good shots and holed some putts, and also hit some really good putts at the end that didn't quite go in.

I was 2-over through 6 and didn't really give up, so happy with that. We're not too far out of it.

Q. And you seem so unbothered when these things happen. What's the key to that steely Lottie Woadness on the golf course?

LOTTIE WOAD: I'm not sure. I think the first kind of six holes are kind of tricky here and you know you have the two par-5s coming up. I knew even though I was over par at that point I could get it back, and I think that helped.

Q. How much fun is major championship golf for you? You seem like you thrive in these big environments and big, hard golf courses?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it's really fun. I like playing in front of people. Generally like tougher golf courses, so it's really fun.

Q. How do you build on this going into tomorrow?

LOTTIE WOAD: I think I just need to try and limit the mistakes a little bit. I made quite a few birdies today but there were some others. Need to play smarter on some holes probably.
