Q. Here at the Genesis Scottish Open, a Rolex Series Event, and you find yourself sitting pretty at tied third. Would you have taken that at the start of the week?

MARCO PENGE: Yeah, definitely. Obviously my first playing The Scottish Open. I mean, I've been playing well all year. So my expectations of myself at the moment are pretty high. But you know, you just never know when you're playing on the biggest stage how you're going to cope with it, etc.

But I had some good experience at the PGA a couple weeks ago, and I feel like that's kind of made me feel more comfortable when I'm playing against the top players in the world.

Q. You had the win in China, on the back of a good week, a solid week at the BMW International. Do you feel like you come with a bit more confidence this week?

MARCO PENGE: Definitely. Last week I was a little disappointed with how I finished. Because I felt like it was a golf course that really suited my game and some parts of my game needed sharpening up for this week. My team is here this week, my physio and coach, and it's been nice to spend time with them in the prep and they have done a pretty good job for me the first few days. I'm happy.

Q. There is a little weight that comes would the Scottish Open, looking down the range, it's an international field and you're playing with two of them. How is it?

MARCO PENGE: Yeah, it's been awesome. I just love playing against the best players. I think Daniel and Tom are probably both in the Top-50 in the world and it's nice to kind of see where my game is compared to them and where I need to improve or what I can learn off them. So you know, when I saw the draw, I was really pleased that I was playing against players that are a lot higher ranked than me in the world. It's been a great experience so far.

Q. Do you enjoy the heightened environment?

MARCO PENGE: Yeah, this is what I work hard for, to be here, playing the biggest tournaments in the world against the best players in the world. I'm just trying to enjoy every moment. I feel like that takes pressure off me, if I kind of go out there, just my main focus is just to enjoy it rather than really thinking about the result or the score. Obviously it's a lot harder said than done but I feel like I'm managing that really well at the moment.
