Q. Another nice low score on the second day, right up there still. How was it overall?

CARA GAINER: Yeah, obviously played a little different to when we tee'd off so early yesterday morning, so trying to just plot our way around this golf course. It's kind of that kind of style of play you need.

So I think we did quite a good job. Fairways and greens really. Only made one mistake on the 11th hole. Hit a bad tee shot. Other than that, was trying to be patient and see if I can get some opportunities.

Didn't hole as many putts as yesterday, but, you know, those things happen. I'm still right up the leaderboard.

Q. Definitely. It's a pretty good Evian debut for you. You said you were at AIG. Did you make the cut?

CARA GAINER: I did, yeah.

Q. You did.

CARA GAINER: Yeah, I played Walton Heath. Made the cut at Walton Heath, yeah.

Q. Where did you finish?

CARA GAINER: I think I finished 50 something. I was actually doing well after three rounds and then I had a terrible fourth round, so that kind of pushed me back sort of in the cut, like towards the end of the round.

Yeah, I mean, obviously it's great to make this cut at this major. The first goal ticked off, and now just try and enjoy the weekend and see what happens.

Q. Nice to have family here to support. Does that help you through?

CARA GAINER: Yeah, yeah, it's nice to have people, yeah, here watching you and clapping for you. Feel like you've got a bit of home support which is really nice.

Actually some of the holes you can't see on to the greens and stuff like that, so it's quite nice to have a bit of sort of reassurance that the ball stayed on the green or just things like that really.

Q. No, definitely. What's it like playing alongside some of these other golfers as well?

CARA GAINER: Yeah, I mean, definitely. I don't know who I'll play with tomorrow, but super excited to see who I'm playing with. It's just a nice atmosphere. I mean, it's definitely different to any kind of other event we play on the LET; much bigger stage.

You can feel the atmosphere. There are so many more people walked around, the tents, hospitality. Yeah, feels great to be in this kind of position.
