Q. What went well for you today?

JULIA LOPEZ: So it was a very stressful round in the beginning because putts weren't coming in and it was frustrating to don't seeing it.

But then the back nine I had to kind of turn over and just get some birdies. Obviously I was right on the cut line, so I start playing a lot more consistent and the confidence went up. I think that help a lot to like get the swing going.

I was making a few birdies on the back so I thought it that was really nice finishing the way I did and getting that confidence for the weekend.

Q. Talking about confidence, your first year on the LPGA, first year playing these type of majors at this level. So do you feel any intimidation or do you feel comfortable?

JULIA LOPEZ: No, I feel comfortable. I know I can be out here and I think I belong. It's just a matter of time. It's golf. Everyone plays good golf out here.

It's very important for me to keep my confidence up and just keep working the way that I am and it will happen.

Q. There is a stat that everybody talks about here, it's driving distance. Your name comes up all the time. What do they tell you, the other players?

JULIA LOPEZ: Yeah, no, it's quite fun to hit it that far. Everyone kind of knows everything. The other day I was practicing and someone was like, oh, yeah, you hit like 300. I was like, how do you even know that. It's quite funny how like players know about all this stuff.

It's fun that my name has driver like point.

Q. So it's an advantage in a course like this, that distance?

JULIA LOPEZ: I think it is at some points. Obviously it's a lot of important to like be in position and hit lot of fairways out here, and especially for the greens. I do think it's helpful for me for par-5s and long par-4s to have wedges in my hand instead of having an 8-iron.
