THE AMUNDI EVIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

July 11, 2025

Grace Kim

Evian-les-Bains, France

Evian Resort Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Grace Kim after her second round at the Amundi Evian Championship. I believe four birdies and a bogey on the scorecard today and a lot of pars. Just talk about how it went for you.

GRACE KIM: Yeah, I mean, we were first off at 7:00 so it was an early start, but wanted to make sure I took advantage of that tee time. It's nice to be done before midday.

So, yeah, just kind of, again, like I just knew how much this course can really sting you, so, yeah, just played fairways and greens. Had a few putts maybe less than yesterday -- sorry, more than yesterday -- but, yeah, just kind of kept it simple and it kind of worked out today.

Q. Being done so early do you have any plans since we're this a fun location or just...

GRACE KIM: Yeah, I mean, I'll probably just -- not that interesting. Just going to gym, trying to get stronger as always. Yeah, just have some good food and then maybe a nap in there somewhere.

Q. Wanted to ask about your nails.

GRACE KIM: Yes.

Q. Show the camera. Describe what they are.

GRACE KIM: That's a croissant on my -- yeah. Just thought I would do something fun and different. Very fitting. Everything is different, so, yeah definitely spent some time doing that back at home.

Q. You did them yourself?

GRACE KIM: No, no. I sat on the chair.

Q. I was just going to ask like how comforting is it to start out with two really good rounds going into the weekend? Does that give you in any confidence just knowing you can put up two good scores?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, I think the last two years I've played it was definitely a learning experience, and I think for someone to dominate this course and capitalize it, you have to know how this course is going to bite at you.

So, yeah, just -- it is very nice to know that I've put together two good rounds.

Again, anything can happen, especially on this golf course. Again, we've got nice weather so that's at least one factor out of the list, so it's nice.

Q. What is there to be said about, like you just kind of said, you know the course a little bit better now. So coming back here multiple times versus maybe like the rookies just playing it for the first time, do you think that gives you an edge over some people?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, I mean, I think the rookie year that I played out here I had like 9-over and I cried, but I can definitely see now like how much it is worth that learning experience.

It was obviously, again, just another week where you just kind of build on top of that. Yeah, I think experiencing that over the two years, even though it's not that much to me, seems a lot because I feel like now I can comfortably play the course and know what the ball is going to do and how it's going to bounce.

Course management has been definitely a key factor this week.
