Quick Quotes
Q. Okay, here with Andrea Lee after her first round at the Amundi Evian Championship. 6-under today. Solid tap-in birdie on the last there. Talk about your day a little bit.
ANDREA LEE: It was a really solid round. Kind of ho-hum. Nothing was like incredible I thought, but I made quite a few putts. Hit some really good shots within five, six feet, so took advantage of those.
Played the par-5s really well today. They moved up 7, so managed to hit that one on in two and two-putt for birdie.
Yeah, just overall played super solid golf. And I mean, the weather is like phenomenal today, so I feel like we had to take advantage of the nice conditions.
Q. Was there anything in particular you were working on heading into this event being the fourth major of the season and kind of at the halfway point here?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, honestly, I feel like my game has been pretty consistent as of late, so just working on the same things that I have been. Honestly, I like to try and keep things really simple as possible, so just a couple swing thoughts and obviously always working on the short game and the putting. So dialing the greens and the speed down, which I think I did pretty well.
So, yeah, just looking forward to hopefully playing some more good golf the rest of the week.
Q. And just this final push here with this week and then AIG in the next couple weeks, what are you looking forward to in this last stretch of major golf?
ANDREA LEE: I love this stretch. It's always fun coming over to Europe to play some golf, two majors like you said. Next week I'm actually taking an off week and going to Paris with my parents so that will be fun.
But, yeah, just it's a fun stretch and I love coming over here. Evian is gorgeous and the British Open is always a good test of golf. Prepared to bundle up and play in the wind all the time, but I really enjoy links golf.
Yeah, I love coming over here. It's a good start to the week so far.
Q. One other question: I believe the last tournament you played was Dow Championship with Lucy. How was that to break up the season a little bit and play some fun golf?
ANDREA LEE: It was so fun playing with Lucy. We had a blast. I don't think I've ever laughed so much on a golf course. As everyone knows, I hope, our team name was Hot Bob's Girls. But, yeah, it was so much fun. It was a great week after kind of a tough KPMG week just grinding out 30 mile an hour winds and the heat.
It was nice to have a week where you could just play some chill golf. Yeah, it was so much fun. She's like a little sister to me, and yeah, we had a blast.
