Quick Quotes
Q. Marcel, lovely start to your Genesis Scottish Open, 65, you're on the firm of that leaderboard. Tell us how you're feeling on the back of that.
MARCEL SIEM: Yeah, pretty good. Game is still there. Holed a few nice putts. Still feel a little bit from last week.
My nervous system, I heard everything, people walking, people having a chat somewhere, seeing people walking, hopefully tomorrow I'll be a bit calmer and won't see many things but I'm very, very happy with that start.
Q. I know you were invested last week and I know it can be emotionally driving range playing in your home championship, it is like a major, isn't it?
MARCEL SIEM: Yeah, it was fantastic. The crowd was really behind me. My caddie said I made 20 birdies and three eagles to shoot 4-under. So that was a proper roller coaster and cost me a lot of energy. It was fantastic, the whole week was great. Hope I can keep doing what I'm doing now. I know I'm putting well and hitting the ball well. Hope I get my calmness back, my coolness back on the golf course, and then we'll see what happens.
Q. It's almost a different kind of Scottish links golf, isn't it, when it's this hot and dry?
MARCEL SIEM: I love it. If it's warm and very windy, it's not that windy today but I think this is what it's all about. When you play The Open, usually we have good weather and it's quite a lot of wind. I think that's when it's getting tricky but it can still move. Now if it's 5 degrees and rain, it's even tougher. But if we are able to move and are able to hit certain shots in high winds because the body is warm, that's fantastic. There's nothing better than that.
