U.S. ADAPTIVE OPEN

July 9, 2025

Simon Lee

Rockville, Maryland, USA

Woodmont Country Club (South Course)

Quick Quotes

Q. Simon Lee, congratulations. Great playing. Talk about what it means to be the winner in this division once again.

SIMON LEE: (Through translation.) It meant a lot to win the first-ever U.S. Adaptive Open when I won. Glorious event. To win is great honor. I felt that.

Q. And so could you talk about the week overall, your experience in the championship?

SIMON LEE: (Through translation.) In the beginning I had a hard time adjusting to this format being very slow. I'm so used to playing with a faster speed, so first round I had a difficult time taking time. Just not used to playing with groups of four together.

Plus I think once I kind of let go of that pressure, kind of learn to enjoy, play better. Looking back first round if I could go back and maybe slow my pace down because I'm so used to playing faster.

So I rush couple shots, which is a learning experience for me. Yeah.

Q. This is the first year that championship is broadcast live on Golf Channel. What does that mean to you?

SIMON LEE: (Through translation.) It's a great thing to have live on the Golf Channel, but to me, so used to the TV and spotlight in Korea, so it wasn't kind of -- but to have people watch him play through Golf Channel, that means a lot.

Q. Last question: What's next on the schedule for this summer?

SIMON LEE: (Through translation.) I'll be playing mixed with China tour and Korea tour. My goal is to keep the card so I can play again next year in China and Korea, regular KPGA and regular China professional golf association, which means a lot to me to keep that up. That's my schedule.
