Q. First, just how did it feel to hit the opening tee shot here?

CASSIE SENGUL: It was really special. Just being from this area and really get to go kick this championship off was really special for me.

Q. How was the support out there?

CASSIE SENGUL: It was great. I have been at Woodmont a few time so I've got to know a lot of the staff and some of the members, so them cheering me on today was just amazing.

Q. And how would you assess your play today? Any memorable shots out there?

CASSIE SENGUL: There was a few bumps, but I had an easy tap-in birdie an 7 so that made it easy.

But it was a little challenging out there, but hopefully better day tomorrow.

Q. How come the course, how did it play?

CASSIE SENGUL: In the morning it was really wet and as the day dried out it got really tricky. The edges were starting to burn on the cups a little harder, so I think it's much harder this afternoon.

Q. What does this championship mean to you and your fellow competitors?

CASSIE SENGUL: It means a lot just really coming together as a community and making a change in the sport. It's just really special to be a part of.
