Quick Quotes
Q. How is your back?
BILLY ANDRADE: I just came out of the restart, and just hit a couple shots. I've had a facet join issues before, and when it spasms -- it comes and goes. Sometimes it's not spasming and you can hit a shot. The hard shots are the chipping and a bunker shot or even putting is not great, but tee shots are okay.
Q. Bad back is not your friend in golf, is it?
BILLY ANDRADE: No, it's not.
Q. Is it something you've had for a while?
BILLY ANDRADE: It's been on and off here, like everybody. We've all been through this. When the facet joint gets inflamed, it's hard to calm it down.
Q. When did it start acting up?
BILLY ANDRADE: Well, all week long, it's been kind of there but it's been okay, and then after coming out of the delay we had, we weren't able to warm up. I was on the 9th tee, par-5. You have to get up and whack a drive, and then you've got nine more holes to play and you've got to get back in the swing of things.
I hit a 9-iron into 10 and I felt it pretty good there, then 13 tee I felt it again. Then 14 I took it back and had to stop because it was like somebody stuck a knife in there.
Q. I saw where you went to the ground, too.
BILLY ANDRADE: Yeah, that was just to stay with it -- a lot of times in a situation like that you flinch. I got lucky there.
Q. You're fighting, giving it whatever.
BILLY ANDRADE: I'm fighting.
Q. What did you think of your round despite that? You're in there.
BILLY ANDRADE: Yeah, I just fought hard and had a few chances to make some birdies and didn't make them. But overall I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
