U.S. SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

June 26, 2025

Steven Alker

Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

The Broadmoor (East Course)

Quick Quotes

Q. Tell me about your round. You had a really solid round.

STEVEN ALKER: I did. I drove it great. I think I might have missed one fairway today, as we've got to do around here; that's the first part.

I just wasn't quite getting my approaches, and my iron play wasn't quite on the right side of the hole. I wasn't striking it close enough to have some good runs.

Anything under par here to start is good. We'll take it and then move on. We've got three days to go.

Q. What next for you? What is the game plan for tomorrow?

STEVEN ALKER: Same again. Drive it in the fairway and just go from there. I think just get it on the right side of the hole to have a run at some putts will be the game plan tomorrow.

Q. Use the mountain on its upside and a lot of pars. How did the course drive?

STEVEN ALKER: Surprisingly well. Didn't even sniff on that ball today. It was pretty good.

The greens were -- I found the front nine a little more bumpy than the back, but they were rolling pretty good despite all the rain.

Q. Pretty good drainage?

STEVEN ALKER: Yeah, we were lucky.
