 The Broadmoor (East Course)Quick Quotes
 Q. How did you find the course played today?
PETER BAKER: I thought it played very well, yeah. Obviously you've got to hit the fairways and I think it was quite gettable, really, other than the fact you hit a good shot and then you've got a really tough putt. That's the way it seems to be most of the time. It's a great course, great place. Delighted to be here.
 Q. Five birdies today; tell us about those.
PETER BAKER: Yeah, there were some good shots in there, and then one was a really good putt on the par-3, so I hit it a bit heavy and it was probably about 60 feet. So that was a really big bonus. Then on the next hole I had a chance for eagle and just missed it, so that was an easier birdie.
It was very up and down today. Hit a lot of good shots and hit some terrible iron shots. Hit three or four terrible iron shots from the fairways really, so that was a bit disappointing. But it's a U.S. Open. It's always going to be tough. It tests every part of your game, and it was a good day. I've got to be happy with that.
 Q. Do you think the course will dry out as the weekend goes on, and if so, how will that make a difference?
PETER BAKER: I think so, yeah. I hope it dries out. That would be great. I think the greens are just going to get tougher. They'll dry out. The moisture will come out of them a little bit, and it's just going to get harder. Yeah, that's fine. Might get a little bit of run in the fairways, but with the amount of rain we've had, it's stood up to the rain unbelievable. They've done a great job.
So yeah, it's just great to be able to play and nice to have a decent round.
