Quick Quotes
Q. Ken, 68, pretty good. Talk about your round today.
KEN TANIGAWA: Well, happy with it for sure. Played nicely. Just made three birdies and one bogey, which was a three-putt, which is going to happen out here. You can get some mean putts.
But overall I played really nicely. I made some good four-, five-, six-footers for par, which you kind of have to do around here.
Yeah, so overall very happy.
Q. The mountain calls your putts for you?
KEN TANIGAWA: When the mountain is there, yeah, it's a bit of a head scratcher at times. It looks like something and it doesn't do it. But you've got to adjust and adapt to it as well as you can, but it's definitely there, down mountain, into the mountain, yeah, it's a challenge.
Q. How did the fairways and the wetness of the course affect your play today?
KEN TANIGAWA: Actually it's shockingly dry for as much rain as we had the other day. But the greens roll beautifully. The course is not overly wet at all. It's very playable.
Q. Playing for tomorrow?
KEN TANIGAWA: Playing for tomorrow. I tee off in the afternoon, so I just may practice a little bit and have a nice leisurely morning and go back at it again.
Q. You're from Scottsdale; give me a little bit of background on what you've done on the Senior Tour.
KEN TANIGAWA: The Senior Tour, this is my eighth calendar year out there. I've been fortunate enough to win three times, including the Senior PGA in 2019, won at Pebble and won last year at Calgary, so that was a thrill. Yeah, very grateful and appreciative to be out there.
