Q. Who's doing better than you right now, honestly? At the end of the day, I remember yesterday I went over to you and I asked you what was your first NBA jersey you ever rocked growing up and you said hands down, Kyle Korver, Hawks jersey. How crazy is it, now you're putting on a Hawks jersey?

ASA NEWELL: Man, it's really God's plan. Going into it, I had a lot of faith. Selfishly, I really wanted to go to the Hawks. Just knowing I had a great workout, interview process with them, it's just a blessing.

Q. If there was ever an opportunity for you to get in the lab with Kyle, get some shots up, get some words of wisdom, it's now.

ASA NEWELL: Yeah, for sure. Now I'm definitely going to be in the gym with him and learn how he shoots and how he gets hot.

Q. Is it crazy the way it played out that you end up getting traded essentially for Derik, your high school teammate?

ASA NEWELL: Yeah, going into it, I knew the whole process there was going to be trades going on. I'm just thankful for being with a great organization.
