Quick Quotes

Q. Angel Yin is with us at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Angel, 3-under 69 for you today. What are your thoughts overall on your final round?

ANGEL YIN: Obviously happy because it's under par, and with the conditions we're playing in and the course setup, it's a great round. Scoring average you can see it's over par I think.

And then any time finishing in the red on the last day at a major is always good.

Q. The three birdies in a row finish.

ANGEL YIN: Three birdies and a bogey. Always have to add some zest in there.

Q. Can we talk about the three birdies first?

ANGEL YIN: Yes, let's talk about the birdies first. Where did it start? Reachable par-4. It was my redemption hole because yesterday was on the green and I three putted. It was just so windy and I couldn't grasp the speed. Didn't capitalize on that hole; today I made a good up and down.

Then the next hole after it's an extremely difficult hole and I just happened to land it perfectly in front where we tried to plan all week to land, and then rolled up pin high and made a good putt.

Then my third birdie is the 17th hole. Crosswind, about like 8:00 wind, crazy just left to right. Managed to hit a really good 50 wedge about like 100 and -- I don't know, let me pull out the book and be accurate. 123.

Just hit it really close and it was like about three-, four-footer. So made that for birdie. Three birdies.

Q. Yeah. So do you feel -- this is a reflection when you see conditions like this and how tough the course is playing, do you think this is more and more of a contrast between regular Tour events and the conditions you play in the majors now?

ANGEL YIN: 100%. I really enjoy playing in majors. I mean, not just because of the way they treat us. We get treated really well on the LPGA regular events, too.

When the course conditions are you this challenging it's so much more fun. It's a bit sadistic to say it's fun, but I like finishing a round and being like, there is so much more we could have done better.

Or today I did shoot 3-under but there were some mistakes that were just so stupid that I did that were no reason, and that cost us 1-over par.

Usually on a normal tournament conditions are not as hard or demanding. You can still save it. But here if you make one mistake, results to like a huge blowup.

You know, then shows up on the leaderboard. So I really like that aspect.

Q. Would you expect these type of conditions in any major now? That's what you want?

ANGEL YIN: That's what we want. That's what I want. So, yeah. It's always really fun.
