Quick Quotes

Q. Minjee Lee is with us now at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Minjee, 3-under today. How you feeling heading into Sunday's final round?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good. I think I played really well within myself today. Took the birdies when I could and made really great up and downs when I was out of position.

So, yeah, I think I'm going to try and stick to the same game plan and get it over the line tomorrow.

Q. How much do you rely on your Australian heritage playing in these kinds of conditions?

MINJEE LEE: If you're talking about the wind, yeah, I mean, I reside here as well. I'm constantly practicing in windy conditions. Obviously having grown up in Australia it's always windy, especially where I practice.

Yeah, though, I mean, it is windy but not this windy, so...

It's really consistent as well. So I think yes I can hit a knock-down shot, but you also have to play the wind. You have to play so much extra out here that it's -- you have to be a little more creative I think more than anything.

Q. How big does a four-shot lead feel heading into the final round?

MINJEE LEE: I mean, it feels really big. I think obviously major Sunday is a different story. This is round three, so I think, you know, I have to still dig deep and post a score even with a four-shot lead.

So I'm just going to put my head down and just work on the things that I can do and do it to the best of my ability.

So, yeah, that's what I'm going to focus on.

Q. Only bogey-free round in the field was today by you. Just mentally how do you approach today when you see -- I'm sure you saw the winds gusting early, leaderboard, everyone is dropping. How are you able to mentally steady yourself when everyone else was falling apart?

MINJEE LEE: I didn't really think about that at all. Yes, I did look at the leaderboards, but I was just pretty much looking at where I was, not the other scores.

So I think I didn't really let my mind go that far. I just kind of tried to play each shot as it came to me, and especially in these conditions it's going to be tough for everyone. I just tried to execute to my 100% on each shot.

Bogey-free is really great score today. We still have tomorrow to go, so, uh-huh.

Q. You'll be playing with Jeeno again tomorrow. Is that a comfortable pairing for you? Could that be helpful tomorrow?

MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean, Jeeno is great. She's fast. She has good chat when we are waiting. We had a nice little chat.

So, yeah, no, I've played with her a bunch of times already, so, yep.

Q. With your major experience and your two wins, you've been on both ends: Come from mind and held the lead.

MINJEE LEE: Uh-huh.

Q. Is that helpful?

MINJEE LEE: I mean, major Sunday is like no other, so regardless of where you are I don't think you're really ever in a comfortable position until you're holding that trophy.

So I mean, I've had both experiences and I'm sure both of them will help me tomorrow. Yeah, just going to do my very best.

Q. I know Webby has been around this week. Have you caught up with her and asked for any advice or she given you any tips as you contend for another major?

MINJEE LEE: Saw her this morning. She was out with her girls yesterday afternoon as well. Haven't had too much time to catch up with her, especially not staying around here.

So, no, it's always nice to see her, though. She's always supporting me regardless of where I am in the world and wherever she is. Only a phone call or text away. No, it's nice to have her support.
