Quick Quotes
Q. Talk about the round today.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, no, I played pretty solid. Just hard in the wind to putt really. I think that's one of the major struggles.
Q. You've been able to do some impressive things. 3-under yesterday.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.
Q. Birdie on 6 today, which doesn't happen much.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.
Q. So some satisfaction with that?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, like, yeah, I just felt pretty solid. Just one of those golf courses that, I don't know, like it can be a bit tricky with the rough, and then the way that they designed a few holes when the prevailing winds are downwind you can't stop it anyway, and then you need to bump it in but you can't bump it in because of the kind of grass that it is.
I don't know, it's just like a golf course design that makes it so tricky.
Q. What is your way to embrace the conditions here, the wind? How do you do it?
CHARLEY HULL: Just play golf. At the end of the day that's it really, yeah.
Q. What do you think can be done to improve pace of play?
CHARLEY HULL: I really don't know. I think it's hard this week because obviously it's quite a big field, isn't it? I don't know, cut can the field sizes, but the golf courses are hard, so it's a hard one, really.
Q. How do you spell did you think your physical fitness is helping you this week?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I have felt really tired the last few days so haven't been to the gym that much. Yeah, it's just a battle. Need to stay in the moment. Have fun, just sit down whenever I can and just chill.
Q. Do you think this tournament should be held earlier in the year?
CHARLEY HULL: I always think it should be -- yeah, well, I don't know. I always felt like it's more like to play the KPMG and then a couple weeks later to play the U.S. Open like we did a few week ago because you're building up for the U.S. Open.
But I don't know. It's hot here anyway, so, yeah, it's just one of them things.
