Frisco, Texas, USA

Fields Ranch East

Quick Quotes

Q. Ronni Yin is with us now at the 2025 KPMG Women's PGA Championship KPMG. Even par today. What stands out from your third round?

RUONING YIN: I think today is pretty solid. Was brutal out there. It's very windy. I think I stayed patient and just one shot at a time.

Q. Like to ask about the 18th hole and the birdie.

RUONING YIN: Well, I was not expecting that. I hit a great drive and then I hit a little thin on the second shot and just went into the bunker.

I was like okay, just make par and get out here. But, yeah, I did not see that. All I tried to do is hit a really good bunker shot and make par.

Q. Was it good bunker shot?

RUONING YIN: Yep.

Q. What are the things you do mentally to combat the heat and the slow play?

RUONING YIN: You know, just switch off and then switch on. That's what Dave told me when we were waiting on 7 and 8 and 9. It was pretty slow front nine. Dave told me, okay, when you're waiting switch off. When you need to hit a shot, switch on. Just easy.

Q. What do you think about when you're switched off?

RUONING YIN: So there is like two group on the tee on 7 and I was just sit there with my umbrella and I told Dave, I want to sleep. I was so sleepy.

And then Dave was like, just go sleep. I'll wake you up. Yeah.

Q. And then after the round, what do you do to try to recover? I am sure it's getting worse as each day passes.

RUONING YIN: Yeah, but I feel like first day was the worst because first day is not that windy and just like it's hot.

But yesterday and today we have wind, so it's going to make me feel better. But after the round just kind of go home and take shower, lay on my couch, just chill.

Q. After seeing the conditions of golf in Frisco, are you still happy that you moved here?

RUONING YIN: Yeah, I love it. I mean, you got to -- I love playing in tough conditions. Just make you better and better. It's brutal but it's fun.

And I mean, it's great to move to Dallas.

Q. How do you like your position overall in the tournament going into Sunday? Obviously Jeeno has a lot left so don't know what her number will be.

RUONING YIN: There is only two player under par, and tomorrow I assume it's going to be windy as well. I mean, Jeeno plays too good there is nothing I can do. I just want to try to play under par tomorrow.

Q. Do you guys practice together much?

RUONING YIN: Not really, no.
