Quick Quotes
Q. Callixte, describe your feelings now that you're in the quarterfinals.
CALLIXTE ALZAS: I mean, I'm super happy. Royal St George's is probably one of the greatest places I've been to. Super course, super conditions. Yeah, super happy for that.
Q. You obviously had a couple of victories today. Tell us what the key to your good play was.
CALLIXTE ALZAS: Pin positions were tough, a bit windy, so just tried to make some pars and reach the middle of the green sometimes. I made a couple of putts, as well. Yeah, that was nice.
Q. You're sort of at the business end of the tournament now, into the final eight. How do you reset and adjust for your quarterfinal match tomorrow?
CALLIXTE ALZAS: Since the start, it's match by match, day by day. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Yeah, we'll see.
Q. How has the course changed from the start of the week? Obviously we've had some great weather, but the wind got up this afternoon.
CALLIXTE ALZAS: It's been pretty sunny since the start of the week, so the greens are firmer than the start of the week. Yeah, the course is amazing. Pin positions are tougher, so firmer greens, tougher positions.
Q. Does that mean you've had to adjust your game plan or anything?
CALLIXTE ALZAS: Yeah, I do. I do.
Q. Tell us how you've adjusted.
CALLIXTE ALZAS: At the start of the week, we have been pretty aggressive to the pin, and we're starting to just aim more to the middle of the green, be a bit more conservative.
Q. As I mentioned before, you're in the last eight players to play in the quarterfinals. Do you allow yourself to start thinking about winning or lifting the trophy at the end of the week or are you still focusing on one match at a time?
CALLIXTE ALZAS: I'm just focusing on one match at a time. I'm just loving my experience here. We'll see what happens at the end of the week. Yeah, I just love it.
