NBA FINALS: THUNDER VS. PACERS

June 18, 2025

Andrew Nembhard

Indiana Pacers

Practice Day

Q. What are the main points you think you need to improve on for Game 6?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: I think we got to stop turning the ball over as much. That's the main thing. I think that will help us get shots at the rim and allow us to really compete in the game.

Q. You saw Tyrese in practice, he made some shots. What can you say about his condition?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: A question you have to ask him.

Q. Guys off the bench, somebody has been able to step up. What has made the reserve group so effective?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: Yeah, I mean, I think we've been together the last two, three years. I think the continuity, togetherness is there. They all got a real belief in each other, play hard and together.

Q. Myles talked about how they mirror the starting five. Is it the continuity of the lineup that seems to be what has made it the most effective?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: Yeah, continuity in any group allows for guys to feel comfortable out there on both sides of the court and allows for the best product.

Q. There always seem to be a spark from one of these guys bench guys. Do you see it in practice, on the off days?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: 100%. I think we always talk about how deep our team is. There's a different guy every day that can bring a little bit more and give us that boost that we need to get over the hump.

Q. You've been one of the best perimeter defenders on this team. Some night OKC has hit a lot of three, others night not as many. How has it been to change those defensive strategies?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: Yeah, sometimes you got to stick to what you're doing, double down on what's working. Sometimes tough shots are going to be made in the league, and you have to tip your hat, keep moving forward.

Q. This opportunity tomorrow to force a Game 7, backs against the wall, what is your mindset going in? I imagine you are embracing the challenge.

ANDREW NEMBHARD: Most definitely. It's an exciting challenge. These are the things you get excited about, you play for. It's going to be fun in here. Leave it all out there. It's do or die and you don’t want to regret it.
