Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Lexi Thompson after the third round of the Meijer LPGA Classic. Just another solid round today. How did it feel for you out there?
LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it was overall a little bit not as -- sorry, my best ball striking day. But I scrambled very well and stayed positive, patient, and that's what it's kind of all about.
I didn't hit my most solid iron shots or drivers out there, but scrambled and made up and downs when I needed to, so I'll take the positives going into tomorrow.
Q. Two birdies in the last three holes. What did it feel like coming down the stretch there?
LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, just coming into the last few holes I knew I could birdie a few if I stayed patient. The weather was really nice today. It was a little windy in some parts.
But coming in I was just like just give myself the birdie looks and hopefully a few drop.
Q. You had a ton of fans out there when you finished. What was that like today?
LEXI THOMPSON: It was great to see. The fans are incredible here year in year out. I think today was probably the most I've seen in a while.
So hopefully even more come out tomorrow. I know it's Father's Day, but maybe some fathers make a day of it.
Q. Lexi, it's a very crowded leaderboard; 11 players within three strokes of the lead. Is this a tournament where you feel like anybody can win, or do you feel like you owe -- after last year, you came so close to winning, you feel like this year could be Lexi's year?
LEXI THOMPSON: I mean, I'm just going to go out tomorrow and hope for the best. Of course it was a close call last year, but it's fair game tomorrow. Everybody is going to come out swinging. Good weather tomorrow, so I know birdies will have to be made and I'll have to go pin seeking.
I will hope for the best, go out there and embrace the opportunity, and really love on the fans.
