Q. Great round of golf today. Did you know at the start of the day you had a good round in you?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: I said yesterday my game feels really good. I feel like I can win this week. I mean, it's golf. You still have to go out and shoot the shots. You have to manage this golf course really well with the greens being this firm this year.

So you still have to put in a good game, but I feel like it's in me.

Q. You started off the season with a victory in Vegas. How does that impact the rest of your season getting off to a win so soon?

MADELENE SAGSTROM: It feels really good. I wouldn't say I lost motivation, but felt kind of relieved after that happened. My season has been kind of up and down but that's definitely been the highlight.

I do feel like I've done really good things in the offseason and I worked on really solid stuff. I was telling me coach, he was at the U.S. Open, and he's like, you don't call.

I was like, I have the tools. I know what to do. You can call when you play well, too. I was like, that's fine. I feel like I got a good toolbox. But at the same time you have to hit the shots out there?

Q. You had a fan out there that you gave a hat. Tell us the backstory.

MADELENE SAGSTROM: Yeah, so Liam has been following me for ever since I came here. We've taken a picture every year and he is so cute. He was telling me he had a baseball game this morning and he was coming out. I was like, I'll get a bucket hat. You need to be proper Team Sagstrom now.
