U.S. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

June 13, 2025

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen

Oakmont, Pennsylvania, USA

Oakmont Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Obviously a challenge today. Two birdies late in the round. What did you see in those holes?

RASMUS NEERGAARD-PETERSEN: On 16 I hit a great 5-iron, landed probably eight paces short, then just kind of almost rolled through the back, and then made a really nice double breaker down the hill.

Q. Seems like the pin locations were kind of the talk coming into this round, did you feel like that was a challenge?

RASMUS NEERGAARD-PETERSEN: Yeah, definitely. The greens are firming up nicely as well here. I felt like already this morning they were firmer than yesterday afternoon. Then with the pins being more tucked it's definitely more challenging. You have to hit fairways, and even when you put it on the green some of those putts you're going to have are really fast, so definitely.

Q. Obviously you're certainly not out of it, well in contention, what's the mindset for you?

RASMUS NEERGAARD-PETERSEN: Just trying to keep the same mindset on the golf course I felt today. Even after a slow start I was able to kind of bounce back and just kind of keep my head in the game. So that will be the same thing for the weekend as well, just try and take it one shot at a time. I know it's a cliche, but that really holds true out here, so just try and do more of that and then we'll see.
