NBA FINALS: THUNDER VS. PACERS

June 12, 2025

Cason Wallace

Oklahoma City Thunder

Practice Day

Q. Is it time to reset? How do you describe the humor in the locker room?

CASON WALLACE: We know this isn't the last game. It definitely hurt, for sure. We got to get back to our mindset and get ready for the next one.

Q. You've been in this position in Denver, 1-2 down. It should be similar?

CASON WALLACE: Definitely. Like you said, we've been here before. Got to bounce back. Get the car back on the road.

Q. How big of a factor are turnovers?

CASON WALLACE: Yeah, we all got to take care of the ball, not just them two. Yeah, we turned the ball over at a high rate the last game. We got to turn that over.

Q. Do you have to get back to your identity as the more physical team in the series?

CASON WALLACE: Yeah, our physicality wasn't there for a lot of points in the game. Our force wasn’t there for a lot of stretches in the game. That is who we are, that's our identity. We lacked that in the last game.

Q. What makes them such an effective defense to score on in transition? How much of a point of emphasis is it to score in the open floor?

CASON WALLACE: It starts with us getting stops. Once we get stops, it gives us better transition opportunities.

Q. Uncharacteristic turnovers, especially on the inbound passes. Was Indiana doing something they hadn't done before?

CASON WALLACE: I would say it's just us not being locked in. We haven't made that mistake all year. More pressure. They were flying around a little more. We just got to be more locked in.

Q. Has their stamina surprised you at all, how they get a little stronger as the game goes on? Fourth quarter seems like they're still pretty fresh. Has that surprised you at all or were you expecting that?

CASON WALLACE: Not surprising at all. We've seen them do it all year. That's what got them to this point here today.

No, it's not surprising.
