Quick Quotes
Q. 7 & 6, that's a pretty emphatic start to the match play. You must be pretty happy with that.
JASMINE ROBERTS: I am, yeah. I played pretty solid, made a few birdies. I think I was 3-up through 3, so I was pretty happy with that. I knew if I could just hole it there, then I should be fine.
Q. Was there a couple of birdies in that opening stretch?
JASMINE ROBERTS: Yeah, I think I birdied 2 and 3. Then bogeyed 6, birdied 7, as well.
Q. 6 up through the turn, that's a pretty healthy advantage. Was it just kind of keep the foot to the floor on the back nine?
JASMINE ROBERTS: That was the goal, and yeah, I managed to birdie 10, as well, and then just kind of smooth sailing from there.
Q. Match play pedigree, is that a format that's up your street?
JASMINE ROBERTS: Well, we play a fair bit of it back home. Our season has just finished and we've had the interstate. So I've had a little bit of practice. But on a golf course like this, anything can happen.
Q. What's your links background?
JASMINE ROBERTS: A little bit at home.
Q. By the Sand Belt --
JASMINE ROBERTS: Yeah, nothing really like this. But it's good experience.
Q. Have you played in this before?
JASMINE ROBERTS: No.
Q. You've had a decent solid season. The experience at the Asia-Pacific, how big a lift was that for you?
JASMINE ROBERTS: Obviously a huge confidence boost. I think from the start of the year it's been pretty solid and I've been happy with how it's been going. But yeah, hopefully just keep using that experience to play well.
Q. Is there anything you've done in particular this season game-wise, mentally-wise that's going to help you improve?
JASMINE ROBERTS: Nothing.
Q. Just general improvement?
JASMINE ROBERTS: Just more experience. I think I'll handle it better.
Q. I don't think there's been an Australian winner of the Women's Amateur Championship, so a bit of history chasing: There was a lad that won here at Nairn, the Scottish Men's Open stroke play nearly 25 years ago, John Sutherland, an Aussie. There's a name you may not know --
JASMINE ROBERTS: No.
Q. A good omen there, so you never know.
JASMINE ROBERTS: I mean, it's a long ways still to go.
