Quick Quotes
Q. Quite the grandstand finish there, getting an eagle on the 18th. Talk us through that one.
JASMINE KOO: Yeah, hit an okay drive I would say, took it down the left side. I hit this crazy second shot, 3-wood. Wasn't supposed to get there but it got all the way there. A little uphill right-to-left 20-footer, I thought it was going in the whole way, and just before it went in, it stopped a little bit. Fist bump was already up, and I was like, all right, this is really embarrassing if it doesn't go in. But it went in thankfully and shot 6-under total. Two really solid rounds of golf.
Q. Obviously the confidence building and getting to grips with this course, it obviously suits you.
JASMINE KOO: Yeah, for sure. First time playing links style, I didn't know what to expect. But I just love how it can be so creative and there's so many different shots I can hit out here that will work out.
Q. As it stands, you're going to win the stroke play qualifying. That's a lovely kind of honour to have in this championship.
JASMINE KOO: Yeah, exactly. I think there's goods and bads to it. It builds confidence, but at the same time, everybody is after you. If I can get over that challenge, then I know I have the game to beat everybody on this field.
Q. Will that be something you'd embrace, the pressure? That's what golfers are in it for when you've got a bit of a target on your back. Would you be quite happy being the No. 1 seed?
JASMINE KOO: Yeah. I mean, it's an honour to have, carrying that No. 1 seed, walking around with it. I think that would be pretty cool if I can have a complete victory.
Q. There's a long way to go, obviously a lot can happen, but a win in Scotland and links golf, would that be the ultimate triumph in many ways?
JASMINE KOO: Yeah, this is a huge event, one of the biggest in the summer, in the year in fact, and one of the opportunities this tournament brings, this would be definitely one of -- maybe even the biggest victory.
