THE MODERATOR: Elina, great job today. Into the third round. Just talk us through your thoughts on the match and what you thought you did particularly well today.

ELINA SVITOLINA: Yeah, was not an easy match today. Was tough conditions with the wind, the rain, with the suspension of the match also at the beginning of first set. Yeah, lots of things. Also I think Anna was playing really well.

Was generally a good match. Really happy with the two-sets win.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. I was wondering how you manage to play a day when Gael doesn't play. Do you ask the schedule at the beginning of the tournament not to play the same day?

ELINA SVITOLINA: To be fair, no, we don't ask. It's just by the tournament. Top half, bottom half plays whatever it does.

Yeah, I try to adjust my practices regarding the schedule of Gael's match. Yeah, to be fair, I prefer to play same day as Gael because is just better for us I guess to have a complete day off when we are both not playing. I feel like we're playing every single day mentally because you support the other half, and almost feels like a second match.

Yeah, I prefer that we play same day, just different times. For example, me in the morning, him in the evening.

But it is how it is here. Yeah, it's fine.

Q. When he plays at night like yesterday, isn't it too difficult for you for your sleep?

ELINA SVITOLINA: Well, it's not the best. Normally I am the person who goes to bed late. Yeah, during the tournament, it's not easy to find the sleep anyway.

Yeah, but it's fine. It's fine. I'm very happy with his performance, the way that he fought yesterday. Of course, I mean, I cannot allow myself to be frustrated for him to make this match long (smiling).

Yeah, I just fully support him. Doesn't matter what time he plays.

Q. Is it more complicated to manage the tournament with Gael this year because he's talking about PSG in the final on Saturday?

ELINA SVITOLINA: No, to be fair it is good to have him at the tournament, of course, see him doing well, winning matches. That's what we want. That's what we want him to do, is win.

I feel like for him is of course going to be something to look forward to for the Saturday, the match, PSG. He'll be there watching, of course.
