J. PAOLINI/A. Tomljanovic
6-3, 6-3
THE MODERATOR: Jasmine, well done. Back at Chatrier since last year, which was very successful for you there. How did it feel playing there?
JASMINE PAOLINI: Yeah, it was great to play again there. It's an amazing court and I'm happy how I played, because I played better than the first round, which is good.
Yeah, just happy about the performance.
THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. Well done. How tiring is it coming here into such a big event after the emotions of Rome and going so far, as far as you could possibly go in Rome? You have never had this experience before where you come in...
JASMINE PAOLINI: It's good.
Q. I'm sure it's good. Lots of confidence. But has it been hard to sort of get yourself up and start all over again?
JASMINE PAOLINI: I don't know. I just came here trying to play a good tournament. Of course I played a lot in Rome, but is a good problem to have, you know, (smiling).
Yeah, the tournament's started. Just thinking about this tournament. What happened in Rome, somehow, for now, I have to forgot and try to go good here.
Q. You're still playing doubles with Sara. How do you manage to have ambition in the Grand Slam in singles and play doubles as well? A lot of French and Italian players told us about the Champions League final on Saturday. Did you support any team in Italy? Will you support PSG or Inter in the final? Is it a topic with other players?
JASMINE PAOLINI: No. It's not a topic, but I don't know. My coach, I think he support Barcelona, so I don't know. My ex-coach, he was supporting Inter, for sure. But the fitness coach is for Lazio. I'm from Milan, so we don't care (laughter).
No, today was good to play singles and doubles, I think. I was feeling good in doubles. You know, I had the chance to hit few more balls, and the conditions were a bit different from the Chatrier.
But I'm happy that I played doubles. We played good, so great to get the win in both.
Q. You have had this wonderful career. I'd like to ask you a very general question. If you could look back at your career, what, for you, has given you the most satisfaction? What are you most proud of in your own journey, your own career?
JASMINE PAOLINI: As a result or... As a result? I have to pick one?
Q. A quality or aspect.
JASMINE PAOLINI: Maybe, you know, to never give up. Even when the things weren't going that well, I was staying there and trying to improve something, trying to add something.
I think that it work. I'm still trying to do this, never to give up and add something to my game, and hopefully, you know, I can stay here at this level as long as possible.
