THE MODERATOR: Congrats, Sascha. What adjustments did you have to make after dropping the first set?

ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Play better (smiling).

No, but in the beginning I didn't play my best. I went down 3-0 quite quickly. He started off very, very fast, and I never found the way back in the first set. But then from the second set onwards I thought my level raised. And yeah, I'm happy with my level then.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. I wanted to ask you how different it is with the sun out compared to your first-round match when the weather wasn't quite so good, both the conditions, and how that affects the way you play or any adjustments you make.

ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Yeah, the ball jumps a lot higher, but I think generally that court is a lot slower than Chatrier and than Suzanne Lenglen. So I just think it's a very different court. I had to kind of find my rhythm a little bit in the beginning.

But yeah, I mean, today obviously no wind, so not really big wind. It wasn't like that yesterday. Yesterday or the day before was quite windy. So just generally nicer to play.

But, you know, at the end of the day it's about winning, and as long as I'm winning, I'm happy (smiling).

ALEXANDER ZVEREV: No, I mean, it's different against every opponent, right? Some you have to generate more yourself, some you can play with the pace of the others. I felt like in the first-round match I had to generate a lot more myself.

I think his ball today can be quite heavy also, so he's just a different kind of clay court player, for sure. He feels very comfortable on this surface, where I think Learner maybe doesn't.

It's different, but it's more towards game styles than maybe the day that you play.
