RBC CANADIAN OPEN

June 8, 2025

Corey Conners

Caledon, Ontario, Canada

TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course)

Quick Quotes

Q. Corey, just talk about the state of your game coming out of this week and into the third major of the year?

COREY CONNERS: Coming into the week, I knew there was some room for improvement with my iron play. I felt like I kind of got that sorted out, and I'm pretty happy with where things are at there at the moment.

I think everything's going to be required next week to be successful. Despite not having really the result I wanted here, I am pretty optimistic about where things are at.

Q. How does TPC Toronto rate as a prep for the U.S. Open?

COREY CONNERS: It's unfortunate that it got a little rain, slowed the course down a little bit, made it a little bit softer. It's a long golf course. There was a lot of long irons into some 4s and a few long par-3s.

You've got to do everything well around here just like you do anywhere else. It was a fun week and fun to play in front of home fans.

Q. Does playing in a little bit of rain here and on some softer conditions maybe pose a bit of an advantage as you're going to expect maybe some rain and softer conditions throughout the week at Oakmont too?

COREY CONNERS: We'll see. I haven't been there yet, but it looks like the forecast is to get some heavy rain. Could soften it up a little bit. Yeah, it won't be too dissimilar to here.

Q. Mentally too, obviously they say Oakmont is going to be such a tough test. Here you're a fan favorite. How does just playing in front of a happy, supportive crowd mentally, what does that do for you mentally going into what is generally one of the most exhausting weeks golf-wise of the year?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it's cool to play in front of the home fans here, and a lot of people show up and support all the Canadian guys. It's a special feeling to be out there kind of living my dream.

Yeah, definitely, they kind of make me more relaxed. They give me some more energy. I've had a blast playing in front of them this week. Not feeling too worn out heading into what I know will be a demanding week next week.
