NBA FINALS: THUNDER VS. PACERS

June 5, 2025

Andrew Nembhard

Indiana Pacers

Game 1: Postgame

Pacers 111, Thunder 110

Q. You guys get down 15. There’s no panic it seems because you guys know you can do it. Is that just built upon each effort?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: Most definitely. … We stay connected. We’re going to play until the whistle blows. It didn’t feel like we were down 20. I don’t know what the deficit was, but it felt like we were just right there.

Q. What’s it like to quiet the crowd and have that air sucked out of them?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: It’s nice. It’s the first game. But we’re not going to get too high off this one.

Q. You guys had a lot of turnovers in the first half and the game overall. How do you get past that to win?

ANDREW NEMBHARD: I mean, stuff that’s done in the past is behind us at this point. We had 19 in the first half. Couldn’t get much worse than that. Playing with a clean slate in the second half. But we definitely have to improve on that moving forward.

Q. What does it feel like to have a Canadian teammate and to be playing against two Canadians in the Finals.

ANDREW NEMBHARD: It’s great. It’s amazing for our country. It’s pushing the game forward and inspiring.
