Q. Hi, Hailee. You did a great job today.

HAILEE COOPER: Thank you.

Q. How does it feel for your first U.S. Open as a professional? Walk me through your thought process the entire weekend.

HAILEE COOPER: Well, it's just an honor to be able to play the U.S. Open. And to finish the way I finished, it was really emotional.

It's just an honor I think, and I was hoping to just have a good weekend when I made the cut, and hopefully get a top 10 is awesome.

Life changing; really cool.

Q. So which course is better, Shoal Creek or Erin Hills?

HAILEE COOPER: Oh, I like Erin Hills. Shoal Creek is a great golf course but it was rainy and wet that week. I got good weather this week so I'll take this course.

Q. It's only the start of June. Are you feeling confident for the rest of the season?

HAILEE COOPER: Yeah, I feel good. Before coming in here I had had a good year on the Epson, playing well. So hopefully can just keep it up, keep going, and then hopefully get my card for next year on the LPGA.

Q. So what have you learned the most from this weekend?

HAILEE COOPER: I think just really who is -- who is in my support system. They're awesome. My family is awesome. They've been here all week. They've been here through the whole golf career.

But really just -- I don't know. Just I really was able to kind of put my faith to the test and lots of prayers throughout the whole year and that's just been helping me through it all, so it's been awesome.

Q. Final question: How does it feel to have a six-figure payday?

HAILEE COOPER: Oh, my God. That's not the reason I was crying. I walked out and they go, do you want to see the money? I was like, sure and I walked up and I immediately started crying when I saw the numbers. I'm like, oh, gosh, there are six of them. So it's awesome. It's life changing for sure.

It makes professional golf a lot easier financially now so it will be really nice.
