Erin Hills GC

Quick Quotes

Q. Six birdies on the card today. What would you say was the strongest part of your game?

MAJA STARK: I think irons. I knocked a couple pretty close. That always helps, especially when the greens are this undulated. Yeah, I think I made a couple more putts from like 15 feet than I usually would, so that was also good.

Q. How were the conditions today compared to your first round?

MAJA STARK: We were expecting more wind, so it was pretty nice. I think the pins were kind of set up for a strong wind, too, so I think the pins were a little bit easier today. It got pretty windy there at the end and then obviously when the rain and thunder came in, that kind of knocked me out of my rhythm for that last putt.

Yeah, it wasn't too different from yesterday.

Q. Prime position heading into the weekend. Is there any change in game plan after seeing the course the last two days?

MAJA STARK: No, I think we've been doing our homework. I think that officially my caddie has been looking at all the different places that you can be because there's a lot of different options on this course.
