Q. First round 2-under. What would you say worked so well for you out there? What was the best part of your game in the first round?

JIWON JEON: I mean, U.S. Open is always fairways and greens are really important. And then I think I did really well hitting a lot of fairways on the course today.

And then I just had a lot of opportunities, like hitting pretty close to the hole, like some of the holes. There is some tough holes out there, and then you're just like trying to, you know, make a par and then it's a really good score out there.

So I mean, I think even if I made a double on No. 11, I stayed patient and then I try not to give up on that because I have a lot of rounds to go. I think stayed patient was really a crucial for me.

So I think overall I did pretty well on like stay calm and then just play what I have to play.

Q. There was a lot of talk going into this championship about No. 9. How big was that birdie on the final hole for you going off No. 10 today?

JIWON JEON: It was -- I think I play the practice round. I was pretty close to where I was. Then it was just like probably couple pace left of that. We know if you miss like just few right will go all the way right.

So I just really have to focus on like where I want to finish at and then the wind's coming off the left, so it's kind of tough.

But I really like try hard to focus on the target and then I just executed really well. So I mean, I think this kind of gave me great opportunity to make birdie.
