Q. William, almost a perfect weekend here. You won the Xfinity race yesterday and led 283 laps, won three stages. Right at the end, though, with eight laps to go, what was going through your mind as you tried to form an attack and go after that 1 car there?

WILLIAM BYRON: Well, I was just defending, but it was just -- yeah, he was catching me, and I was trying to just defend. I was getting a little bit tight. Then the scenario there with the cars we were around, it was tough. So, yeah, he got a run on me and was able to get to the bottom and clear me off of two.

Disappointing just to lead that many laps and such a great effort by our whole team. Yeah, I guess just could have anticipated that last run a little better. I ran in dirty air for a long time and heated my tires up. Then we lost a chunk of time, and the 45 about crashed in front of us. Yeah, sucks.

Yeah, we'll just keep going and keep trying to put races together like that.

Q. We saw you the last couple of laps against the wall trying to do everything you could there. You know, watching this weekend for you, this is a home race. What did it mean for you to lead so many laps here at the 600 and again to win your first race here at Charlotte this weekend -- first Xfinity race? Sorry.

WILLIAM BYRON: It will be good in the long-term I guess, but I really wanted this one. Yeah, just a bummer, right? Try to learn from it. Yeah, it was tough there at the end. He was catching me, and I was trying to. Just not quite enough.
