THE MODERATOR: Okay, wow, Chisato, you just won with your first LPGA event ever here in Mexico. How are you feeling?
CHISATO IWAI: I'm so, so happy, and I'm happy to play here.
Q. Tell me a little bit about your day today. You started off with so many birdies. How were you feeling throughout the day during the round?
CHISATO IWAI: I didn't thought a lot of birdie today, but just patient my mindset and, yeah, just enjoy today.
It was good day, yes. (Smiling.)
Q. You got your first win out here today. Did you feel like you could always win out here or what does your first win mean to you?
CHISATO IWAI: Super happy. Super happy.
Q. You got a little emotional on the green. What were you thinking of that made you emotional out there?
CHISATO IWAI: No. 18?
Q. When you were giving your speech on the green.
CHISATO IWAI: So every day supporter support for me, family, team. Yeah, I have good team every day, yeah.
Q. And they mean a lot to you?
CHISATO IWAI: I have a good team.
Q. Your sister was out there, too. What's that mean that you get to win in front of your sister?
CHISATO IWAI: Yes, I'm so (indiscernible) I get hug, so, yeah, good time.
Q. Good time. Congratulations. What made Mayakoba a good feel for your game?
CHISATO IWAI: Good feel, weather was nice too and my -- weather was nice too and so many wind, but I can use wind shot.
(Through translation.) Yeah, so I played well in the wind because I can read it well and I was able to make some good club selections today, so that's why I was able to play well.
Q. Congratulations.
CHISATO IWAI: Thank you.
Q. Outside winning the championship, what did you think for Mexico, what did you enjoy the most from Mexico?
CHISATO IWAI: The most I enjoy? So too hot. Just nice view and ocean, so nice view.
Q. Hi. Do you know that your skirt have a color here in Mexico that his name is (indiscernible.)
CHISATO IWAI: I don't know.
Q. That's the color...
CHISATO IWAI: This color?
Q. Yeah. If you want. You can speak in Japanese; doesn't matter.
CHISATO IWAI: This is my lucky color. Yes, every time final day I have pink something. Yeah, that's why today wear pink, yes.
Why? So when I won the tournament in Japan I often clothes pink, pants, pink wear, so this is my lucky color, yeah.
Q. Did Mark say anything to you today to help you stay calm out there, your caddie?
CHISATO IWAI: (Through translation.) Actually Mark and I didn't talk too much today. I think he was tired.
Q. I have a couple questions that were sent to me. What does this do for your confidence heading into the U.S. Open, the major?
CHISATO IWAI: Just a little bit.
Q. Just a little. Okay. Can you just talk us through birdieing five of the six holes. How were you able to do that?
CHISATO IWAI: Just focus on my routine and my mental stay calm, stay calm.
Q. You're probably going to answer this the same, but last question: What was it like playing with such a big lead? You had such a big lead throughout the day. Were you more calm because you had a big lead or...
CHISATO IWAI: (Through translation.) No matter how many birdies I made today and how far ahead I was my mindset didn't change. I just kept thinking of trying to make the next birdie and trying to stay positive.
