Q. Have you guys ever played in conditions like this?

DAN WALTERS: Yeah, it was challenging, there's no question about it. Yeah, it felt like Scotland or Ireland or something. I don't know, have you played in something like this?

EVAN BECK: Not in a USGA final. This is my fourth one, 1-3 now, and those guys played great. Hit a lot of quality shots towards the end and just got outplayed.

Q. You guys ran into a pretty good buzz saw today, and you guys hung in there with these guys. You made some remarkable putts, 9, even the one on 16 to keep this thing going. Kind of sum up the week. I know it's disappointing you didn't get the title, but everything you did to get here, sum that up.

EVAN BECK: Yeah, very disappointing is what I would start with. They are great players, but I feel like we belong in this situation, and we just got outplayed in the final.

DAN WALTERS: Yeah, I mean, I'm not aware exactly of their record, but they obviously played some great golf today. I think as Evan said, they hit some better shots in the last six, eight holes, and obviously we were 1-up through nine. Yeah, we got beat on the back nine. Hats off to them.

It was wonderful to be in this situation, and hopefully we can be there again.

Q. This is the first time you've been in a final; what was it like to play in a final from your perspective to get that competitive rep in a championship match?

DAN WALTERS: Yeah. You know, at the end of the day, it's just golf, right? I would have preferred 82 degrees and sunny, but it's an outdoor sport. It's all good. Enjoyed being in it. I wish I would have hit some better golf shots on the back nine, frankly. But that's why you come back the next day, and you just keep plugging along.

At the same time, I look forward to going home and seeing my wife and kids.

Q. How many kids do you have?

DAN WALTERS: Two.

Q. You just got married, right?

EVAN BECK: October.

Q. You've got obviously some big stuff ahead, a Walker Cup, big summer for you?

EVAN BECK: We'll see. Kind of out of my hands.

DAN WALTERS: Make sure you print this. It shouldn't be out of anyone's hands. I'm going to tell Mike, I'm going to tell everyone I can, this guy is.

Q. Oh, he's on the radar.

DAN WALTERS: No, it's not the radar, he's going to be on the Walker Cup, and he should be, and I look forward to watching him play at Cypress.
