Q. You guys knocked off a team that was kind of on a roll.

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, it was good. We just kind of -- the first few days we had a bit of a slow start. We didn't really ham-and-egg it too well. Then yeah, kind of found something yesterday and kept it going through today.

STEEN ZEMAN: We kind of just stuck to our game plan. Most of the time we made sure we were in the fairways together and then both on the greens having chances at putts. I think if you do that the whole time, you'll eventually kick out the guys you're competing with. It was fun.

Q. Was there a point in the match where things turned in your favor?

STEEN ZEMAN: It was instant. There was one -- I think 15, after I made the putt.

CHARLIE FORSTER: It probably started on -- we both air mailed the green on 12, and then we --

STEEN ZEMAN: Parred the par-5.

CHARLIE FORSTER: Then the next one -- that got us to two.

STEEN ZEMAN: I wedged it on the 13th hole to a foot and that got the ball rolling, the par-3, and then we won the next par-3, which was 15, and that kind of --

Q. Was that a birdie?

STEEN ZEMAN: That was a birdie, and then the very next hole --

Q. How long was the putt?

CHARLIE FORSTER: He had about a 40-footer, and I had about --

Q. You made a 40-footer?

STEEN ZEMAN: I made a 40-footer, yeah. Then next hole, just to make things interested, I shanked a wedge, downhill lie, feet below the ball. But we figured it out on the next hole. My teammate came in clutch.

Q. You've had a pretty good year --

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, yeah.

Q. Your ranking is up to 102 in the world or something like that?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, hopefully it will come down tomorrow, too. We have regionals coming, and I top-tenned in regionals.

Q. Where was the regional at?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Urbana, Illinois, so we actually drove from the regional to here.

Q. You drove?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, 13 hours. We missed our flight so we had to drive, and then stopped at one of my buddy's Sam's, who lives in Ohio halfway, and slept there overnight and then drove like 11 hours the next day. Yeah, we only played Plainfield, we didn't play Echo Lake.

Q. You only got here Friday?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, and then we kind of winged that one, but this is obviously where the match play is.

Q. You played the British Am, round of 16 last year?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, I played pretty good. I kind of took the match play aspect, I guess, of that. I see myself as a pretty good match play player. Just put it in the fairways and make the opponents make the mistakes, especially with the rough this thick. If you have over a wedge you can't really get it up there. No, just kind of take that as an advantage, and then yeah, we holed a couple nice putts coming in the end, some clutch ones --

STEEN ZEMAN: That's all the momentum you need really, just making the right putts at the right time.

Q. You guys are both Long Beach State, what year in school?

STEEN ZEMAN: Seniors. We just graduated this year. Graduation is actually right now.

Q. So you're missing graduation?

STEEN ZEMAN: Yeah, we're missing graduation.

Q. What was your major?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Consumer affairs.

STEEN ZEMAN: I'm finance.

Q. I guess the cap and gown is virtual then?

STEEN ZEMAN: Yeah, it is.

CHARLIE FORSTER: We were going to go to New York and post a picture, but I guess we're not going to.

STEEN ZEMAN: We were going to put our gowns on and pose somewhere.

Q. You guys played with Cantlay, right?

STEEN ZEMAN: Yeah, we do.

Q. They played this last year?

STEEN ZEMAN: Yeah, Jaden and Jack. I don't know which round, but they did play in it, in Pennsylvania. I think so.

Q. And the Leovao sisters did pretty well last year in the Women's Four-Ball?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, they told us about this event and it was really --

Q. They were the ones that really --

CHARLIE FORSTER: We saw them do it, and I didn't really know it was a thing. Then yeah, they told us about it and they said it was a really good event, pure courses, and my girlfriend lives right by the qualifier that we played in, that we qualified in.

Q. In Fresno?

CHARLIE FORSTER: Yeah, so we were like, it will be a nice trip going up for the weekend.

Q. Come to the New York area and see some sights and play some golf, right?

STEEN ZEMAN: Yeah, that's what it's all about.

Q. Have you guys seen some sights in New York yet?

STEEN ZEMAN: No, we haven't. We've just been playing.
