THE MODERATOR: J.T. Poston now with us at the 107th PGA Championship.
J.T., a great day out there for you. How do you summarize your third round?
J.T. POSTON: It was great. I hit a lot of really good shots, a lot of good iron shots, which I think you've got to do on a day like today when it's breezy and obviously playing a hard golf course.
Yeah, I was happy with that. Stayed real patient all day, which is kind of the theme for the week for me. Obviously happy to give myself a chance going into tomorrow.
Q. That was a great way to close out on 18. Can you tell us a little bit about that birdie?
J.T. POSTON: Yeah, it was great. I gave myself two really good looks on 16, 17 and didn't really convert them. It's nice to make a longer one there on 18 to really cap off what I felt like was a good round.
So you know, hopefully it's a little momentum going into tomorrow. But yeah, finishing off a round like that with a long putt is always nice.
Q. What will you do tonight to take the momentum forward into tomorrow?
J.T. POSTON: Same thing as last night. My wife and daughter are here this week, along with a lot of family and friends. Probably go back, eat dinner, relax, kick the feet up and try to get a good night's rest.
Q. Not the first time you've played well in North Carolina. How good does to feel to be here with the fans and the people recognizing you and being in contention in a major?
J.T. POSTON: It's been great. Obviously had some success in Greensboro at Wyndham. Got my first PGA TOUR win there. I love playing in front of the home crowd. I think I definitely can feed off of some of that momentum and people pulling for me. I'm sure tomorrow will be no different than it has been every other day this week. Definitely looking forward to it.
Q. Do you know how many family members and friends are following you?
J.T. POSTON: I do, yeah -- I don't know the number. Immediate family, most of my immediate family is here. But I mean, college teammates, high school teammates, you know, a lot -- I'm getting a lot of shouts, some "Hickory" shots and some "Red Tornados," "828," our area code where I'm from, "WCU" where I went to college.
It's a lot of fun. But I have no idea how many. But it feels like a lot.
