THE MODERATOR: Si Woo Kim is with us now at the 107th PGA Championship. We're going to jump right into questions.
Q. Si Woo, what a start of a round, no, two birdies. Can you take us through those two and kind of what worked for you today.
SI WOO KIM: It was -- I didn't realize how bad was the mud ball because I didn't hit the fairway much yesterday, but I hit much better driving. So I realized it's really bad for mud balls.
I've been fighting all front nine with the mud balls, and I didn't get the first two holes. I didn't get the first two holes back nine any mud balls, so kind of get through birdie and then birdie. I had like longest par-3 hole-in-one.
So that was also no mud ball, so much easier than 140 with mud ball.
Q. Congratulations. How does it feel being a history maker with the longest hole-in-one in major history. Describe the moment, please.
SI WOO KIM: I think it was -- last record was me, too, because I've kind of made similar number at Royal Troon, so that was longest maybe major history hole-in-one. So I break it if this was longest hole-in-one.
Yeah, it's exciting, kind of like imagination. How I'm going to hit it, kept trying imagination. I hit it like right exactly how I wanted. So it was cool and then it was pretty memorable hole-in-one in major.
Q. What club did you hit?
SI WOO KIM: I hit 5-wood.
Q. Can I ask you about your prospects for the weekend because you're in a great place now to go on and potentially win your first major title.
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, it's just still Friday. I just played good two rounds, but still a lot of work to do. Then especially the weekend is going to be more hotter and then more tense.
I'm just going to try to play my golf and just try to have fun.
