Q. What went well for you today? What were the best parts of your game?

BYEONG HUN AN: A bit of everything, I think. I drove it really good. I had some unlucky bounces, finished in the bunker, hit some great drives and some decent shots. Some of the long irons were a little iffy, not where I wanted to hit it. But I made some putts and missed some putts.

It was very -- probably one thing didn't really stand out, but overall it was pretty decent side of it. That's how I was able to shoot 2-under, some bogeys here, some birdies there.

Q. It's hang for often to see you in the mix in the majors, especially at the beginning of the year. Is that a result of your technical work, your mental work, where your game is in general?

BYEONG HUN AN: Yeah, I think so. A bit of both. I played many years of golf and many majors, and I know it's not going to be an easy test, so I think I'm mentally prepared better going into the majors because I know it's going to be hard for everybody.

So that really helps, and also I feel like I'm hitting it better every -- well, I feel like I'm hitting it better than last year although the result doesn't show it. But I feel great driving the ball, and some misses here and there, but it's a lot tighter than last year, I think.

Q. The last thing is knowing that you are in the mix, does it change your mindset or your strategy the rest of the week?

BYEONG HUN AN: Probably not because I've played here many times. I know what this course can give back to you if you get too aggressive. Some holes you can. You have to know where the misses are, I think. If you miss in the right spot, you can get a good chance at up-and-down, but once you're in the wrong spot, you're not going to have any chances.

I know I'll hit some good shots tomorrow and the rest of the week, but I've got to manage some of the missed shots on the good side of it.
