Quick Quotes
Q. Pat, you played pretty -- four different courses essentially over the course of the week. Take us through your approach. How did you adjust to things? Today seemed a little bit more like Thursday, a little less wind.
PATRICK CANTLAY: This week I wasn't really expecting this kind of weather. We had rain one day and some pretty good wind yesterday.
I thought I played well, played solid all week. Finally made some putts today, which was nice.
Q. Pretty good back stretch. How is that going to carry over into Quail?
PATRICK CANTLAY: It's always nice to have some momentum going into a major. It's a golf course I'm comfortable with. I've played that tournament a number of times in the Presidents Cups there. Yeah, looking forward to it. It's nice to be on form.
Q. In talking to a lot of guys this week, the common thread of coming up to the Northeast more for tournaments has been a common thing talked about. What's your opinion on possibly a more permanent spot coming to the Northeast?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I like the golf in the Northeast. There's so many good courses. We don't get up here too often. I hope we can get up here a little more. That would be great.
Q. I was just wondering your opinion on playing a Signature Event the week before and/or after a major?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I think it's fine. I like playing the week before a major, get some rhythm, get some reps in. I think it's great.
Q. Does that kind of alter your mindset? Do you perhaps go into next week a little more fatigued on a rigorous golf course like this, or is it good preparation?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I don't think so. I think it's good prep. We're very used to playing two, three weeks in a row out here. So nothing out of the ordinary.
