Q. Nice way to open the week, Celine. How important was it to get off to a good start here?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it was very nice to get a few birdies in and get a good round in. I feel like the conditions were pretty optimal this morning, calm and really receptive greens. So it was very nice to get a lot of birdie chances.

With the weather coming in tomorrow you don't know what you're going to get, so it was nice to get a good first round in.

Q. When you look at your season in 2025, how would you assess it and where do you think maybe you need that little bit of extra?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it's been kind of a little bit an up and down beginning of the season. I feel like my game is not that far off, but I just haven't been scoring very well.

I feel like just few putts here and there, getting some momentum in is definitely helpful, and I haven't really been able to do that yet this year. Hopefully this gets me going.

Q. Are you able to stay positive? The way you played today, it looks like your game is in very good shape.

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah it's been good. Like I said, just haven't been scoring very well. With golf sometimes it doesn't really take much to go from one side to another.

Hopefully I stay in the same for the rest of the week and just we'll see how it goes.
