Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome Bryson DeChambeau, captain of Crushers GC.

Bryson, well played today, our leader by four at 13-under par after a second round score 6-under 66 here at LIV Golf Korea presented by Coupang Play. Talk us through your round today. What stood out for you? Obviously some very different conditions early on this morning.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah, they were adverse. It's funny, I was hitting shots in my Foresight, and it was telling me my pitching wedge was going like 140 to 145 yards. That was kind of alarming at first. As we got on the golf course, we quickly saw that wasn't the case. So we've got to figure out some stuff there.

It was just so cold this morning. I went on the driving range, and it was pretty adverse. Wish I would have made the putt on 2 and made birdie on 3, but kind of steered the ship in the right direction, made a great birdie on 6, got up-and-down on 4. 5, I thought I made birdie.

Just giving myself plenty of chances, and if I continue to do the same, it will be a great Sunday. So got to focus on having fun and playing like a kid.

Q. Bryson, this is your third consecutive 36-hole lead heading into the final round of a LIV Golf event. I'm also told a four-shot lead is your biggest lead heading into the final round. What's your mindset going into Sunday as you look to close out here in Korea?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: It's just to play like a kid, have a lot of fun, be smart, execute like you know how to, and just solidify the motion, make sure I'm moving through it right, and keep playing the golf that I know how to play.

Q. Crushers are currently tied second this week at 15-under par. Looking for your first team win of the season as well. What would it mean for you guys to get it done here in Korea?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: It would be huge. Given that we're a global team, it would be awesome to win here in Korea. The fans are great. I think the Korean fans like the Crushers. I know they like the Iron Heads a little bit more.

Hopefully we're a close second, and hopefully we can give them some fun for tomorrow.

Q. Just a quick one on how you've been able to adjust to the conditions this week compared to last week. You're obviously able to compete at that high level wherever we go.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I think going from 9,000 or 8,000 feet elevation to sea level has been quite an interesting task for all of us out here, jet lag barred as well. I think it's been a great test for everyone.

Luckily I've just been able to control the golf ball a little bit better the past couple days. I feel pretty good with my golf swing, executing some great shots, but adjusting has been a tough, tough task, but G-Bo and I have done it well.

Q. Bryson, congratulations on your good, smooth run on the second run. We have three questions from all the Korean media. Number one, do you play any other sports than golf?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I did back in high school. I played volleyball back in high school. I was a middle hitter. I could jump surprisingly. I played ping pong, love ping pong. It's one of my favorite sports. Might have been able to go professional had I pursued that out of high school, but golf was a little bit better.

Those were the two sports I really liked. Played a bit of basketball, baseball when I was really young, soccer middle school. But mainly golf, volleyball, and ping pong.

Q. Second question, have you ever tried any Korean food, anything that was great?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I love Korean barbecue, galbi beef, marinated beef is unbelievable. I love the experience. We're probably going to go there tonight. I think we are going to go there tonight with the team and have a great time.

Korean barbecue is amazing, and I'll forever come back here for that.

Q. Third question. I was wondering whether you had any close Korean players.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Danny Lee is a good friend. Kevin Na is a super nice guy. We've been close for quite a while. Those two have been awesome ever since playing before LIV. Now on LIV we're good friends, and we give each other a lot of jabs and banter back and forth.

Danny is some special human being, though, I'll tell you that. He's awesome.
