Dean Burmester

Incheon, South Korea, USA

Jack Nicklaus Golf Club

Stinger GC

Press Conference

Q. We have a special guest joining us in the post round show, Dean Burmester. Never a dull moment with you.

DEAN BURMESTER: Nice to see you guys. Your tans are looking surprisingly good considering you've been inside all day.

Q. I haven't been inside all day. Come on now.

DEAN BURMESTER: You're always well tanned.

Q. You start off, what did you make on your first?

DEAN BURMESTER: I made a double bogey.

Q. Two guys who made aces today, both doubled their first hole. It's got to be a good omen, you and Leish.

DEAN BURMESTER: I'll be doing the same tomorrow.

Q. If the fans are watching and wondering what in the world this thing is in front of us, from your incredible hole-in-one today, there's a reason this thing is here. First let's take a look at your incredible highlight. Because of this moment right here, you just won a fan a BMW. What was the stick?

DEAN BURMESTER: That was 7-iron, 204 yards, pitch perfect with that upslope on the greens.

That's when the excitement happens. I felt like going for a swim.

Q. We had a report from Branden Grace out on the course that, when it went in, that you might have thought that car was for you.

DEAN BURMESTER: Well, I was really excited for my caddie because I thought he was going to get one rim. So I was super excited for him. I can always replace one rim.

Q. How many hole-in-ones have you had?

DEAN BURMESTER: That is my fifth one, and that is my second one in four or five months. I had one in Canton not so long ago.

Q. That's a pretty beautiful car right there too, Dean.

DEAN BURMESTER: It's nice. Electric. We're not going to charge that very well in South Africa.

Q. Another highlight of your day today, Dean, a chip out on 18. That's pretty beautiful right there.

DEAN BURMESTER: It was nice. Before I hit that shot, John said to me, he said, you've got those hands. You can do that. It was nice to have that little bit of reassurance because it didn't feel very good up to that point.

Yeah, super happy with that eagle. A hole-in-one and an eagle in one day, that doesn't happen very often.

(Choosing car winner.)

Q. Dean, before you get out of here, take us a little bit through your day here and how it was on the course for you.

DEAN BURMESTER: This layout is pretty special. It's got a lot of character to it. There's a lot of water. It's a typical Jack Nicklaus design. Dogleg left-to-right, water's on the right; dogleg right-to-left, water's on the left. He's designed a lot of golf courses like this all over the world.

With the greens playing as firm as they are and the little bit of cold wind we've had, it ain't easy. Bryson shot 7-under today, that's a great round of golf. For me, I was 1-over on the par-3s with a hole-in-one, so I've got some work to do there.

Look, it's a special place. It's so nice to be here in Korea, in South Korea here in Seoul. People have been warm and welcoming in this weather, which is awesome. I think tomorrow we're going to have a special day.
