Pit Lane Interview

Q. Kyle, a great points day for you. You come away with a third-place finish. I know you wanted the win. Bring me through the final lap, if there was anything you could have done.

KYLE LARSON: I don't think there was anything I could have done on the final lap. The only kind of moment I had to get to the front row is when we got pushed out in front of William. I wanted to take it. I felt like the gap was too big. The 60 barely got clear, got up there and got rolling.

I was second inside, just going to do everything I could to advance our lane, open it up to where I could get to the outside. We were all just pushing so equally that it kept the lanes kind of jammed up. I needed something else to kind of happen, maybe them blocking each other or something.

Still a great day. A stage win, P3 in the second stage, then P3 again in the final. Yeah, great points day. Best career finish on a superspeedway, so happy about the performance today from the HendrickCars.com Chevy. Now we'll get to go to some strong racetracks for us and see if we can get some wins.

Q. A big month for you on the INDYCAR side as well.

KYLE LARSON: Yeah, getting to that time of year. It was really cool to get back in the INDYCAR this week with Arrow McLaren. Things didn't end up great for me there getting in the wall. Still I feel like we learned a lot. Now we got some time to get all of our cars better for that.

So yeah, just fun time of year between everything that I got going on. The NASCAR side of things is going really well. The sprint car stuff has been really, really good so far this year. Yeah, got the Indy 500 coming up. Fun time of year. Hopefully we can have a lot of success.
