TV Quick Quotes

Q. Jon, congratulations on your second team win this season. Let's start with Caleb, four bogeys in a row and came back with a bunch of birdies, and then Tom McKibben, not a great week for him, came back as well. He had bogeyed 7 and 9 and then birdie on 10 to finish. How proud are you of them?

JON RAHM: Extremely. You know, we have two very young guys in the team. Obviously Caleb having a little bit more experience here and Tom a little bit more worldwide. But grit is not something they're lacking. I think at his first event, Caleb proved it. I think he went triple bogey-bogey on 17 and 18 and then four birdies his last four holes for us to win, as well.

I would never have to doubt their commitment. They're great players. Too bad they had a bad first round. After that they fought back and obviously contributed to a great win. Happy we got our second one and got a little bit closer to the Fireballs.

Q. You guys started the day five back from Ripper GC, came back 11 shots and took the lead. How much were you watching that leaderboard?

JON RAHM: I was watching a little bit more individually. The team aspect can be so volatile so quick that you don't really look at it until the last few holes when it might matter a little bit more. That par putt at 17, definitely it was in my mind for sure, but before that obviously I'm a little more focused on the individual aspect of it.

Q. We're heading to Korea. You're on a flight tonight. What positives are you going to take from this week into next week?

JON RAHM: Each day has been so different. I feel like the first round I maybe didn't hit it my best but made every single putt I looked at, and then the rest of the week has been the opposite. I played pretty well and hit good putts but they didn't go in. So hopefully I can clean that up, keep doing the right things. I know I'm close. I keep putting myself in position, just maybe a little far away going into Sunday. So I hope I can find a groove and get that first win.
